Ricky (Rick) Lee Gore
August 27, 1959 - June 27, 2026
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Ricky (Rick) Lee Gore, affectionately known to many as "Mountain Man." Rick passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026, at the age of 66, surrounded by his family.
Rick was born on August 27, 1959, at Fort Lewis, Washington to Duane Harold Gore and Helen Rose (Lee) Gore. He graduated from Bethel High School in 1978 and went on to build a life defined by hard work, generosity, and service to others.
Many knew Rick through his years at Medalist (electronic darts), his ownership of Mountain Propane alongside his wife, Laurie (Mortenson) Gore, or his dedication to the community through the Port Townsend Kiwanis.
Rick is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Laurie; his daughter, Adreanna Paola (Chris); his beloved grandson, Louis Bear Paola; his sister, Debbie (Gore) Lincoln; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Rodney Gore, Dean Gore, and Roger Gore.
Rick will be remembered for his generous heart, his love of golf, poker, darts, jet skiing, fast cars, movies and television, and, perhaps most of all, his enthusiasm for everything Christmas. His warmth, humor, and the memories he created with those he loved will be treasured forever.
A celebration of Rick's life will be held at the Elks Lodge in Port Townsend on October 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Rick's honor to the Port Townsend Kiwanis at P.O. Box 489, Port Townsend, WA 98368
