🌿 In Loving Memory of Rebecca Peterson

Rebecca Peterson, of Tacoma, Washington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 20th. She was deeply proud of her Suquamish Native American heritage and carried its spirit with grace, strength, and compassion throughout her life.

Even while facing neurological challenges, Rebecca’s love and warmth never faded. Her resilience and kindness touched all who knew her. She was adventurous and creative, with a joyful spirit that brought smiles to everyone she met.

She is survived by her husband, Karl Swanson; her stepson, Carl James Swanson; her father, James Peterson; and her mother, Linda Kayser.

A celebration of Rebecca’s life will be held on Monday, September 22nd at the House of Awakened Culture—a place that reflects the heart of her heritage and the community she cherished.
