Michael Gerald Leder
June 16,1947- May 23, 2026
Michael Gerald Leder, a resident of Port Ludlow, WA. died peacefully on May 23, 2026, at the age of 78 of central nervous system lymphoma.
He was born June 16, 1947, in Newport, Oregon to Gerald Jacob and Edra Marie Leder. After High School he enlisted in the U. S. Navy. He served aboard the USS Betelgeuse (AK/FBM-260) and on land in Da Nang, Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1971.
Returning to civilian life he worked and attended college earning a BS degree in Computer Science and Business from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. It was a milestone that opened the door to a long and successful career in technical sales, a field where his work ethic, and ability to connect with people set him apart. IBM honored Michael with the prestigious Golden Circle Award twice. He was awarded similar honors with Lenovo for top performance.
In 2014 Michael retired from technical sales, moving his skills into residential real estate with Keller-Williams, Bellevue, WA.
Michael loved his children and enjoyed his hobbies with them: building LEGOs, dirt bike riding, kayaking, photography, home remodeling, and stained glass among other things!
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Daria, his three beloved children, Paul Leder and from a previous marriage, Joelle Victoria (Dan) Rule and Gary Leder, and grandchildren. Also survived by sisters; Janet Smith and Joi (Todd) Tompkins and brothers; Randy Manning, Steve Manning, Jerry Jr. Leder, David Lyon.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed dearly.
A memorial service will be held on June 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Tahoma National Cemetery. A private celebration of life will follow.
