David "Dave" Stevens

David "Dave" Stevens, 73, passed away peacefully at his home on August 5, 2026, with his beloved wife, Sandra, by his side.

Born in New York City, Dave spent most of his life in New York and Connecticut before Sandra and he fulfilled their dream by building their home in Washington on the water, where they settled in December 2020.

Dave built his career in Global Information Technology with Colgate-Palmolive in Manhattan, a career of which he was immensely proud. Following his retirement, he founded his own consulting business, with Coca-Cola Bottling in Georgia, as his first client. Throughout his career, he earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike for his sharp intellect, exceptional problem-solving abilities, unwavering commitment, and willingness to embrace new concepts and adapt in an ever-changing industry.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Dave found joy in skiing, softball, tennis, freshwater and saltwater fishing, and golf. He was also an avid poker player, a passion he enjoyed for many years. Above all, Dave will be remembered for his enduring spirit, natural charm, and quick wit.

Although chronic physical pain became a constant companion during the later years of his life, Dave faced each day with remarkable courage and determination. He was a fighter whose resilience inspired everyone who knew him, as he continued to live life as fully as possible, despite the challenges he endured.

Dave is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Sandra; his brothers, Peter (Simona) and Seth (Karen); his nieces and nephews, Emma, Sam, Sarah, Luke, Ben, and Oliver; his great-nephews, Leone and Thomas; and countless extended family members and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Debby and Mel Stevens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America (to the chapter of your choice), MuttNation in honor of his beloved dog, Shelby, or the Hospice Foundation for Jefferson Healthcare in Port Townsend, Washington.

A celebration of Dave's life will be held at a later date in Washington.

Family and friends are invited to share their memories of Dave and sign the online guestbook.
