Carolyn Louise McCammon

Carolyn Louise McCammon, 91, passed away on February 18, 2026 in Port Townsend, Washington.

She was born on July 27, 1934 in Long Beach, California to Ewald (Bill) and Edith Gehring. She was raised in Long Beach and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. On September 6, 1952 she married her soulmate Edward McCammon in Compton, California. They were later sealed on April 17, 1956 in the Los Angeles temple. They raised their four children in Anaheim, California and upon Edward’s retirement, they moved to the Puget Sound, specifically Marrowstone Island. They traveled extensively but Carolyn’s favorite place to visit was Hawaii.

Carolyn was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served two missions with Edward. The first one was in Australia and the second one was in Ohio.

Carolyn was a wonderful mother who devoted her entire life to her children and grandchildren. She leaves behind a wonderful legacy for her family to follow. She will be buried next to Edward on Marrowstone Island where they had their home. She is survived by her three sons David (Clare Lisa) of Oakley, UT and Nordland, WA, Bret of UT, and Cort (Stacy) of St. George, UT.
