Anne Doris Parent, a cherished mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, in Seattle, Washington. Born on December 24, 1956, in Inglewood, California, Anne was a beacon of light whose warm spirit and gracious nature touched the lives of many.
She began her educational journey at Saint John Chrysostom before graduating from Inglewood High School, where she laid the foundation for a life filled with achievement and purpose. After her studies, Anne dedicated herself to a successful career, retiring as the manager of a large apartment complex in El Segundo, California. Her professionalism and dedication not only ensured the smooth operation of her workplace but also fostered a welcoming community for all residents.
Beyond her career, Anne embraced life with a multitude of interests that brought her joy. Her love for crochet produced countless beautiful creations, and she often spent her leisure hours walking along the picturesque beaches of El Segundo, where the gentle waves mirrored her vibrant spirit. She had a passion for dancing, which reflected her joyful heart, and she treasured the time spent with friends who enriched her life.
Anne’s legacy is carried on by her daughter, Deann Johns, and her beloved granddaughters, Mila and Addy. Her sisters, Irene Parent-Bowman and Linda Briggs, remain close, as do Irene’s children, RoseLaurette Johnson-who lived with and cared for her at the end of her life- and Patrick Collins, along with Linda’s children, Nichole Hill and Brandon Briggs; and countless more beloved friends and family members. These connections woven through family and friendship speak volumes of the bonds Anne cherished throughout her life.
Though she is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Glen J. Harker, as well as her parents, Raymond and Loretta Parent, Anne leaves behind a tapestry of love, laughter, and memories that will resonate deeply with all who knew her.
