Karen Rasmussen Farr

Karen Rasmussen Farr, 88, passed away on December 20, 2023 in Port Townsend, Washington. She was born on August 31, 1935 in Salem, Oregon to Donald and Roberta (McDougall) Rasmussen.

Karen graduated from El Segundo High school and later attended El Camino College in California. On December 4, 1964 she married the love of her life, J. Eugene (Gene) Farr in Hawthorne, CA. Karen had been previously married and had a son, Michael; whom Gene adopted. Together, Karen and Gene had a daughter, Lisa. Karen worked as an Executive Administrative Assistant until she retired in 2000.

Karen loved traveling, cooking, gardening, and shopping for antiques; she especially loved spending time with her grandson. She was a member of the Red Hats - Scarlet O Hatters, GOP Ladies, and Jefferson County Republicans.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, J. Eugene Farr; son, Michael E Farr; daughter, Lisa B Farr; grandson, Wesley H Farr; and niece, Jeannie Morvay-Clayton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Roberta Rasmussen.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 in Port Townsend, WA. Family and friends may share memories of Karen and sign the online guestbook.
