David Dwayne Griffin

David Dwayne Griffin passed away Monday, March 9, 2020. He was born July 18, 1960 in Detroit, Michigan. David was raised in West Jefferson, North Carolina where he graduated from Watauga High School in 1978. He attended Forsyth Technical Community College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and was employed at FCX in Winston-Salem. It was here that he met Marcia Caldwell of Port Townsend when she interviewed for a job at the same company. They returned to Port Townsend and married in September of 1992. David worked for Surety Pest Control and later operated the business. When Marcia suffered a stroke, he became her full-time caregiver. David is survived by his wife Marcia who still resides in Port Townsend, his mother, Sue Griffin, from West Jefferson, his sister, Terry Stevens, from West Jefferson, and his brother, Michael Griffin, from Whitsett, North Carolina. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
